Glendale Carpets are one of Ayr's longest established independent flooring retailers. Begun in 1970, Glendale have operated as a family business since 1980.

When Alistair Macdonald started the business, it specilalised in quality domestic carpeting. When his son Ian Macdonald came into the business in 1980, the company diversified into the contract market, becoming established as one of Ayrshire's foremost flooring contractors.

Helen Hunter, who runs the office and showroom, has 18 years experience in flooring, and is one of the most knowledgeable salespeople in the area. Leasa Hastie has been with us 5 years, and is becoming established within the trade as someone who knows her industry.
